You Will Be Greatly Missed |
June 20, 2011 |
So sad to hear this news about Judy. I met her in the 1970's when she helped form Oregon's People First. Such a wonderful, tireless advocate. Such a trooper.
My thoughts go, also, to Carol. You made a great team!

Such excitement fills my heart when I think of our early days with People First, organizing, transporting ideas and issues. I have on my desk as I write a copy of the People First book you inspired me to write. You were young then full of energy and passion that would never end. You led the way for so many out of the institution into the community. There is a special place for you in heaven and you are there now and I am glad for you but sad for us for having lost you. God Bless

To Judy with Love and Admiration |
June 20, 2011 |
My dear friend and colleague how I am missing you. Your late nite calls to discuss something serious or to laugh at something silly or just to share our friendship. Opportunities to marvel at your ability to challenge adversity, learn new skills and responsibilities, joke when things got to serious, major drama queen when the occasion called for it. Your leadership, comradeship and spirit inspired us all and your legacy will go on forever.
Say hello to Rosie and Harry for me and I will be seeing you.............Charlotte

Judy's selfless leadership, conspicuous gallantry and extraordinary devotion to duty could well earn her a “Medal of Honor” in the battle for humanity. Her indomitable determination and valiant fighting spirit reflect the highest credit upon herself and will long continue to enhance the efforts of those she led and served alongside to uphold the highest traditions of United States citizenry. Judy, you will be missed terribly but lovingly in our hearts eternally.

June 18, 2011 |
Judy dear,
I remember the time when we were at that self-determination conference in Utah.
You stood up and gave the people your all. I really will always carry that into my heart. I loved that.
May the good Lord bless you with peace and his care.
You are my eternal sister and friend.
